Together with our partner Red Bull, we have realized a project that impressively demonstrates what happens when courage, precision and the right infrastructure come together. Red Bull is known for repeatedly offering athletes the stage for spectacular challenges - always on the lookout for the next top sporting performance.

This is exactly where ELA came into play. From the initial idea through to implementation, this project was real teamwork.

Spectacular backflip between two moving trucks

Exploring the limits of what is possible - that is exactly what became reality with this project: freestyle motocross world champion Luc Ackermann dared to perform a spectacular jump from one moving truck to the next - in the middle of a highway in North Rhine-Westphalia. He jumped with his FMX bike over a nine-metre-high height control, covered a flight distance of 40 meters with a tsunami backflip and only had a time window of 0.5 seconds for the perfect jump. The runway on the second truck was equipped with container walls and both trucks were extensively branded with ELA. The speed of the trucks, which were traveling below him at a constant 20 km/h, had to be just as accurate as the precise start signal from his brother, who gave him the decisive moment. Luc accelerated his bike to 54 km/h - without technical aids such as a speedometer, but purely by instinct and experience.

The right ELA infrastructure backstage

For a project of this magnitude to be possible at all, not only courage and top athletic performance were required, but also the right infrastructure. This is where we came into play as an official partner of Red Bull. We created a lounge area from our exhibition container, which served as a retreat for the athletes and crew. We also set up a double container system that acted as a workspace for the production team on site.
