Originally the gym “Sportparc Aue” was housed in a building of the Nickelhütte Aue GmbH. "Nickelhütte Aue GmbH approached ELA because they had to renovate the building in which the Aue sports park is located," explains ELA Area Sales Manager Marco Poguntke. "They were looking for an alternative location for the gym during the renovation." The operation of the studio was to be maintained during the renovation work so that the numerous members could continue to train as usual.
Studio manager René Tröger is very satisfied with the room solution. "Better than the old sports park," he says. On more than 520 square meters, the studio offers everything that a standard fitness studio needs: A large area with Barbells as well as a cardio area with crosswalkers, treadmills and fitness bikes. "With the three metre wide ELA premium containers, we could realise the desired floor plan with a large fitness area, changing rooms, showers, and sanitary areas for customers and members," says ELA employee Poguntke happily.
Sweating in a container – not unpleasant for the managing director André Mayer, but an advertising factor. As a „Fitness-Deluxe Container Village“, the Sportparc advertises the facility made up of 29 ELA premium containers. A spacious training area awaits the members, the interior with LED lighting is bright and friendly. Split air conditioning units ensure an optimal indoor climate. "Even with an outside temperature of almost 40 degrees Celsius, we had a pleasant 20 degrees inside last summer, which is ideal for sporting activities", Mayer is impressed.
The facility is located on the parking lot in front of the “Icehaus” and the bowling alley in Aue and was built in a very short time. This was made possible by the pre-assembly of the containers at the ELA plant in Frankenberg near Chemnitz. In this way, the on-site assembly time is reduced to a minimum. Managing Director Mayer: „It was exciting to see how the container village was built in such a short time. It is impressive to see what is possible.“
