Our employees are the basis for ELA’s success – with experience and expertise, often accumulated over many years of collaboration. As a family operation with a tradition of more than 40 years already, ELA is efficient and unbureaucratic. Our 550 employees respond quickly to customer requests because they know that cost certainty and adherence to schedules are crucial in mobile deployment. ELA and therefore you as our customer can count on the know-how and dedication of our employees.

Tim Albers, Liesel Albers-Bentlage and Günter Albers in the second generation are successfully managing the family company ELA Container founded in 1972. The container specialist celebrated its 40-year company anniversary in 2012: Company management and the employees work hand in hand for success, in a pleasant working atmosphere, with high esteem and the best product quality. Success is only possible together.

Container production

In the production station, Bernhard Wilken and Gerd Kötter ensure that mobile rooms in all lengths, widths and versions are created from steel. Bernhard Wilken and Gerd Kötter with their teams accompany every container through on-time production. The pleasant working atmosphere in the department is motivating – every customer request is implemented.

Assembly hall

Every morning the giant assembly hall with 3,600 m² is filled to bursting with containers waiting to be converted. Entire container villages are produced here. Karl-Heinz Bruns helped plan the new assembly hall in 1999 – an important step for the future. Today Karl-Heinz Bruns maintains an overview, even during peak times when up to 200 containers are rented daily.

Painting station

Heiko Walkenfort meets all customer wishes in terms of colour. Customers can choose from the entire RAL colour spectrum for the custom exterior design of a container. Heiko Walkenfort and his colleagues paint up to ten containers per day.

Inspection station

With more than 40 years of experience in the team, Martin Jaspers and Bernd Pieper are the ideal choice to thoroughly inspect every ELA container prior to delivery. In the inspection station, they are responsible for the assignment of tasks. Bernd Pieper plans custom fabrication and prepares quotations. His colleague Martin Jaspers is the contact person for electrical, air conditioning, sanitary and heating systems – from the quotation to implementation.

Planning and design

Anything is possible. With extensive CAD designs, Michael Gerdes and his team plan complex container villages or individual, special containers on the computer. The possibilities of CAD planning have steadily expanded since Michael Gerdes joined ELA in 1992. But one thing has stayed the same: Individual customer requirements are implemented in tailor-made ELA containers.

Heinz Freericks is the container specialist on the ELA sales team. He celebrated 30 years with the company in 2014. As a manager, he supports the team that inspires new customers every day. From the enquiry to delivery to container installation, everything is processed individually on a project-specific basis. He knows: The closer the attention paid to the details, the better the result on site with the customer.

Scheduling and fleet management

Leonid Zobel has been working at ELA as a logistician. He is a key point of contact between sales and production, scheduling and the customer. He organises the delivery and pick-up of the containers to and from the construction sites, maintains an overview of all due dates and routes, and knows where every container was yesterday, is today and will be tomorrow.

Logistics and transportation

With an overall truck length of around 19 metres, things can sometimes get tight on delivery. Josef Schermann transports the ELA containers to the installation location, where he also unloads them with the loading crane on his special truck. He sets up single containers and hands them over ready for use. Josef Schermann loves the variety and independence of working at ELA – since 25 years.

Container installation

When villages of ELA containers arise from nothing, Helmut Hoesen is on site. He positions the steel giants that float towards him on a crane and maintains an overview during final assembly. Whether he is installing a logistics centre of 188 containers in Angola as part of a team or required for customer service on site: With more than 20 years of experience, Helmut Hoesen finds the right solution.

Field service

There are never enough hours in the day for Klaus Lüttel: He consults with customers and prospects on site, discussing the design of mobile rooms with ELA containers. Klaus Lüttel values quality made in Germany and the reliability of ELA as a project partner in construction site management. He has been working in sales since 1995 and leads the field service team today.
